Totapari Mango
Totapari Mango
The Totapari mango, also called “Totapuri” or “Banglora,” is a well-known variety from South India. It is easily recognizable by its distinct parrot-beak (hooked) shape, from which it gets the name “Totapuri.” The fruit is medium to large, with greenish-yellow skin and tangy-sweet pulp that has very little fiber. Totapari mangoes are commonly harvested from May to July and are widely used for making juices, pickles, and processed mango products. The tree is medium to tall in height (12–15 feet) and is highly productive, making it a popular choice among commercial growers.
