Litchi
The litchi tree is a medium-sized, evergreen tree (10–12 m) with dense foliage and fragrant flowers. Its fruits are small, round to oval, with a rough red rind and juicy translucent pulp that has a sweet floral flavor. Litchis are a highly perishable fruit, mainly harvested in India during May–June. They thrive in humid subtropical climates with well-drained soil. Rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and minerals, litchis are enjoyed fresh and also processed into juices, ice creams, and desserts.
