Amrapali Mango
Amrapali Mango
The Amrapali mango is a famous hybrid variety developed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in 1971 by crossing Dashehri and Neelum mangoes. It is known for its small to medium size, deep red blush on ripening, and exceptionally sweet, fiberless pulp. The fruiting season is usually June to July. Amrapali trees are dwarf in nature, typically growing 10–12 feet in height, making them highly suitable for high-density plantations and home gardens. The mango has excellent keeping quality and is widely loved for its sweetness and juiciness.
